1. Souths (an all round boss side and great coach although lacking some depth that may be underestimated due to their upcoming U20s players but this is their year) 2. Roosters (great coach has electrified this boss side that is almost identical to 2013 premiership winning one, Rami Castey seems like a great replacement for prop Luke O’Donnell and they will have SBW in his final NRL season. The Roosters have a very good chance at making the grand final) 3. Manly (great coach and great but ageing squad with lack of experienced props although I’m not 100% sure why that is such a big deal. The squad is slightly lacking depth as per usual and the reserve players are yet to be re-signed! Also I’m a bit one-eyed about my beloved Sea Eagles 4. Sharks (Peter Sharp as coach? Almost same aging side but still needed a strike centre but Blake Ashford could be the answer. Luke Lewis will be out for almost half the season. NSW Cup winning GF side and a few good signing means good depth. Probably their last real chance to win the premiership for a while) 5. Warriors (Sam Tomkins is a massive boost to an already great backline. Matt Elliot revitalised the squad halfway through the 2013 season, new halves pairing but they are 2 young guns and as always the forwards must step up and consistency is the key. Plenty of decent players pushing for a 1st grade squad so depth seems good. My 2014 darkhorse) 6. North QLD (great side with good depth but lost a few experienced campaigners, needs a consistent halves pairing, new hooker rotation and Origin could still be problems, new rookie coach but seems very credible) 7. Titans (great forward pack, great young halves pairing though Albert Kelly is a bit injured and a very good backline, Brad Tighe seems capable, alright coach but the team’s overall consistency is the key) 8. Storm (great coach, new 5/8 in Cody Walker or Ben Hampton, Origin always is a problem, big 3 are all around 30 years old now)
