Manly forward Brenton Lawrence on Queensland's State of Origin radar

BRENTON Lawrence always knew he needed to step up and become a leader this year but now the Manly front rower has an even bigger motivation to make 2014 one to remember.
Lawrence returned to preseason training at Manly this week with a spring in his step knowing just how close he could be to a Queensland Origin debut.
The 106kg prop had played just 18 NRL games until he moved to the Sea Eagles last year, but is now a leader of the Manly pack and on the Maroons radar after he was given a late invite to the Emerging Queensland Origin camp last weekend.
