Melbourne Storm – March 18, 2014
After re-signing Captain Cameron Smith last week, the good news continues at Melbourne Storm with talented front rower Jesse Bromwich committing to the club for a further four years.
And young guns Slade Griffin and Cameron Munster have also agreed to terms with the club, tying them to Melbourne Storm for two and three years respectively.
Bromwich, 24, has confirmed his status as one of the best props in the competition, having cemented his starting spot in Storm’s line-up over the last two seasons. He was the only Storm player to have played every game in 2013 and this season is scheduled to notch up his 100th first grade appearance.
New Zealander Griffin was called into Storm’s opening three rounds of the 2013 season and played an important role throughout the crucial State of Origin period, providing support in key playmaking roles. The utility played six games last season, a great achievement for the 23-year old having rupturing his ACL ligament in the first trial match of 2012.
Meanwhile, Munster, 19, has made an eye catching debut during Storm’s trial matches. The Queenslander, part of the club’s NYC team, is known for his speed and work ethic he has displayed during his first pre-season.
