Kasiano blow leaves Bulldogs banking on depth
SMH.com.au – March 1, 2014
Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs forward Sam Kasiano is set to miss the opening two NRL rounds, at least, after foot surgery.
The injury is a blow to the Bulldogs, who face Brisbane recruit Ben Barba in his first game against his former club in their opening round clash at ANZ Stadium. Kasiano was crowned the Dally M prop of the year in a breakout 2012 season but injuries restricted him to 13 appearances the following campaign.
''He'll be a massive loss if he's out, but the best thing about us is we've got plenty of depth,'' teammate and playmaker Josh Reynolds said. ''Everyone knows our forwards are a real classy pack and whoever steps up will fill that spot if need be.''
